WHAT HAPPENS ON THE WEEKEND?
The retreat is a unique interactive experience that provides a safe and confidential space to connect with God and other women. There will be group activities, meditation/silence time, and space for you to spend some individual time outdoors in a beautiful quiet setting.
I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS. CAN YOU ACCOMODATE THEM?
Yes, we can accommodate most dietary needs. When you register, please let us know those needs and we will do our best to ensure those needs are met.
WHAT ARE THE ACCOMODATIONS LIKE?
Retreat accommodations vary by season and location.
The Fall 2026 Retreat will be held at the Jesuit Spiritual Center. Rooms are private, and bathrooms are shared.
The Spring 2027 Retreat will be held at Camp Swoneky. Rooms are semi-private, and each room has its own bathroom. Photos of the rooms are available at www.campswoneky.com/lodging.
A limited number of private rooms may be available at each location. Participants may request a private room, but priority will be given to women with medical needs.

I HAVE PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS THAT PREVENT ME FROM MANY TYPES OF ACTIVITIES. DOES THIS RETREAT REQUIRE A HIGH LEVEL OF ACTIVITY?
No. But let us know what needs you have and we will do all we can to accommodate you. There is quite a bit of sitting, so if this could be difficult for you, please bring what you need to help you feel comfortable.
IS THERE ANY FOLLOW UP AFTER THE WEEKEND?
You will be given an opportunity to sign up for a follow up group. Many women develop deep connections on the weekend and this is a great way to continue those friendships as you grow together.
WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE THIS WEEKEND? WILL THERE BE OTHERS?
Yes, retreats are offered in the spring and fall of each year. Should you want to attend the next retreat, we can put you on the contact list for next time.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND SAFETY
At Sisters of Iron, privacy, trust, and emotional safety are essential. Participants are expected to respect one another’s anonymity and keep personal stories, experiences, and conversations shared within the group confidential.
What is shared in the group stays in the group.
Confidentiality may only be broken when there is a serious concern that someone may harm themselves or another person, or when disclosure is required under applicable mandatory reporting laws. In those situations, appropriate steps may be taken to protect the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
If you are unsure about these guidelines or have questions or concerns about confidentiality, safety, or mandatory reporting, please contact us here.
